Karen E. Casey APRN, ACNS-BC has worked in healthcare for over 30 years in a variety of roles. After graduation from Virginia Tech University, she began her career as an EMT and quickly realized her passion for healthcare and helping people. She later became a medical assistant, which motivated her to continue her education and become a registered nurse. Working as a nurse at Seton Hospital, Karen continued her graduate education and ultimately obtained her master’s degree in nursing and certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in adult health. Karen has spent the past 20 years working as a CNS in cardiology at a prestigious practice in both central Austin and Georgetown.
Karen is excited to transition her career to primary care where she can empower patients to be active participants in their own health and well-being. She strives to work together with patients to set goals and activate changes that will result in optimal health in all areas.
When not working, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and many animals on her farm
